The CBI Preschool Story
CBI Preschool & Kindergarten supports the growth of young children through a hands on, developmental curriculum addressing the individual growth and needs of children. Through a Jewish lens, CBI highlights the natural, wonder-filled moments of childhood and celebrates the joys of learning and growing in a supportive community.
On average, 75% of families are Jewish and 30% of families receive scholarships raised through individual donations, the Youth Auction, and the UJFC. Children can attend school from 3-5 days/week with half- and full-day options. Hours of operation are from 8-5:30pm M-F. Tuition ranges from $5800 to $15,500 for the school year.
The PJ Library
The PJ Library is a Jewish Family Engagement program recently funded by the UJFC. PJ Library mails free, high quality Jewish children’s literature and music to families in Charlottesville on a monthly basis. This family outreach program reaches both affiliated and non affiliated Jews in our community.
Congregation Beth Israel is committed to providing a Jewish education to young children, including those whose families are of limited financial means. We are also committed to the idea that the Jewish community has a responsibility to support those in need. Due to the generous support from the United Jewish Fund of Charlottesville, as well as other donors, CBI Preschool & Kindergarten provides scholarships to all families needing financial assistance.
